Amy Adams:: will act in "Janis Joplin: Get It While You Can"

Amy Adams, pictured to the right and known for her role in Julie &Julia, will be cast as Janis Joplin in an upcoming movie about the late 1960s rock star.  "Janis Joplin: Get It While You Can" is set to release in 2011.
Apparently Joplin fans already disagree. Posting on SheWired.com, editors say “we’re not the least bit sold on her playing Janis, but we will print a retraction if she pulls it off!” Comment to the article weighed in with various “hell no” and “Nooooooo!!!!”
Actresses Zooey Deschanel, Renee Zellweger, Pink, and Brittany have been attached to various movies about Janis Joplin.
