Nicole Kidman :: "Stoker" role

Award winning actress Nicole Kidman has had quite the summer.

In addition to going peroxide blonde for her part in the upcoming thriller Paperboy, the 44-year-old Moulin Rouge star has been cast in the lead role for another spine-chiller – Stoker.

Stoker, a Park Chan-Wook directed film slated for release sometime in 2012, tells the story of an eccentric teen, India, whose enigmatic and estranged uncle returns to the family following the death of the girl’s father.

When people mysteriously start to go missing in her hometown at the same time, India begins to believe that her uncle may be the cause.

According to Indiewire, Kidman is set to play the role of the little girl’s mother and will be joined by a heavy hitting array of talent including Matthew Goode, Jacki Weaver, Lucas Till, and Mia Wasikowska.

While very few details are known about the film, we can expect that Chan-Wook – whose other films such as Oldboy and Thirst are famous for their immaculate framing, brutal subject matter, and epic twists – has more than a few surprises up his sleeve.

Anne Heathaway :: Yorkshire accent

Anne Hathaway was wracked with nerves before shooting started on her new romantic movie One Day, because she had to perfect a northern English accent.

The Devil Wears Prada star fell in love with the role of Yorkshire-born Emma in the film, which is an adaptation of David Nicholls' 2009 novel.

Hathaway convinced director Lone Scherfig she was perfect for the part - but the American actress admits she initially doubted her ability to tackle the regional dialect.

She tells Britain's Marie Claire magazine, "I've never been so nervous about playing anyone as I was to play Emma.

"There were many reasons to say no to this part. One, because I didn't think I could pull it off. Two, I was very nervous about the Yorkshire accent."

Sofie Vergara :: Comment About teen MOm

The Modern Family bombshell,Sofia Vergara now 39, had her handsome son Manolo when she was just 19 — and the Colombian actress tells Redbook mag that the teenaged pregnancy had its benefits. "When I had Manolo, I was 19, and I had the energy for everything," she says. Vergara married Manolo's dad, her childhood sweetheart Joe Gonzalez, when she was just 18. The couple divorced two years later.

But the Emmy-nominated star, who is currently dating Florida politician Nick Loeb, can't imagine getting pregnant again. "My boyfriend now wants to have kids, and I don't even want to think about it," she admits. "I would have to get into that mind-set again, the waking up early.

Fans might be shocked to learn that Vergara, famous for her curves, once considered her body "hideous."
But the rest of her body eventually caught up. "Then after I had my kid, I got hips and everything started to come together," she adds.

Mila Kunis ::JT her bodyguard

Mila Kunis is one tough cookie.

While in Russia promoting her new film Friends With Benefits, with co-star Justin Timberlake, Mila surprised a room full of journalists when she fired back a bold reporter who questioned Justin's career choice of acting, instead of singing.

"Why not?" Kunis testily replied. "What kind of question is that? Why are you here?"

Poor Justin had no idea was what going on until the translation came through his headset after the ordeal. He pointed at Mila and joked, "This is my bodyguard."

Kim Kardashian ::Prepare for Wedding for cake

Kim Kardashian and fiance Kris Humphries stopped by Hansen Cakes in L.A. on Friday for some wedding cake tasting. Although the 30-year-old bride-to-be has recently revved up her fitness routine, she put aside her wedding slimdown plans to find the perfect sugary confection for her and Humphries' big day.

An insider told Us Weekly Kardashian also stopped by Mark's Garden -an upscale Sherman Oaks, Calif. flower shop specializing in arrangements for weddings and special events.

Although the reality star hasn't confirmed who will be designing her dress for the big day, she was spotted last month at Vera Wang's NYC store. Kim's sister Khloe, 27, wore Vera Wang for her Sept. 2009 wedding to Lamar Odom. "I hope she does [Kim's, too]," Khloe gushed to E! News. "Just because I love her, and I feel like when you think of weddings, you think of Vera Wang. It would be a perfect fit."

On July 23, Kim and her NBA beau, 26, celebrated their bachelorette and bachelor parties in Las Vegas. Although they initially promised not to see each other, Kim wandered next door and crashed Humphries' fete at LAVO. A source told Us Humphries proudly kissed his fiance in front of the entire nightclub.

Olivia Wilde :: Act in part of "Cowboys & Aliens"

"Cowboys &Aliens" star Olivia Wilde says it was "kind of strange" being half-naked in front of a bunch of people. To that we say - yeah.

Wilde tells MTV, "I was half-naked in front of a bunch of people, including the crew, a bunch of Apache warriors, a bunch of cowboys, and Daniel Craig, who I had to stand in front of basically naked. He had to take a moment to sort of look me up and down before covering me in a blanket. And I was like, this is crazy."

She also talks about how the movie tried to be authentically dirty. "We were literally dirty because we were riding all day long out in the desert, and you get very dirty. But the dirtier everybody looked, the hotter they looked. It was a really good look, I think. The people in the Old West were very dirty. The thing that's unrealistic about our movie is all our teeth: We have good teeth; they didn't have good teeth."

Heh. "Cowboys &Aliens" opens nationwide Friday, July 29. It looks like it could be the blockbuster of the summer.

Jennifer Lopez :: not to focus on being a role model

Actress n Singer Jennifer Lopez last week announced her split from husband of seven years Marc Anthony, is widely admired for juggling a successful career with being mom to three-year-old twins Max and Emme.
Jennifer doesn’t worry about her role model status though, as she isn’t interested in putting extra pressure on herself.

“A long time ago, I realised I would never put responsibility on my shoulders. I think that’s too heavy to think, oh my God, everybody is watching what I’m doing,” she told the British edition of OK! magazine.

Jennifer knows the main people she needs to worry about are herself and her family. The celebrity remarked that stars in the past who tried to live up to society’s expectations often faltered.
“It’s just about making myself proud first, doing things that I know are right, living the best way that I can. If other people are inspired by that then I always saw that as icing on the cake. It’s been very destructive for some people to put that amount of pressure on themselves,” she added.

Carrie Underwood :: Top Earned american Idol

Singer Carrie Underwood earned an estimated $20 million between May 2010 and May 2011, according to a ranking published by Forbes on Thursday (July 21). The pretax sum makes Underwood the top earner among the show's former contestants.

She won the competition in 2005. Adam Lambert and Chris Daughtry tied for second place on the Forbes earnings list with $6 million each. Country-related Idol artists on the list include Kelly Clarkson in sixth place with $2.5 million and Kellie Pickler in eighth place with $1.8 million. The report indicated that Idol host Ryan Seacrest made $61 million, a higher sum than the 10 Idol stars' incomes combined.

Vienna Girardi ::opens up about nose job

Vienna Girardi, who was formerly engaged to "The Bachelor" Jake Pavelka, revealed that she recently got a nose job on July 20.
Actress Vienna Girardi said ::
"Sometimes our beauty is seen differently from within ourselves than what reflects in society's mirror," Girardi told Us Weekly. "I went through life questioning myself in the mirror, but my reflection smiles now...If it makes you feel better about yourself, then I say do it."

Girardi got engaged to Pavelka on the 14th season of the ABC reality series "The Bachelor" and broke up suddenly in June 2010. Afterwards, they shared their stories to various tabloids. She is currently dating "The Bachelorette" alumni Kasey Kahl, who she met on the spin-off series "Bachelor Pad 2."

The reality star's plastic surgeon was Dr. Franklin Rose, whose daughter Erica Rose was also a contestant on "Bachelor Pad 2." Girardi admitted that the recuperation has been painful, but is looking forward to seeing her new nose.

"It has only been a few days since my surgery and I'm in a ton of pain but the excitement of seeing my new nose soon is keeping me in good spirits," she said, adding, "I have my wonderful boyfriend Kasey Kahl here taking care of me and my girlfriend Erica Rose."

The 25-year-old Florida native told her Twitter fans that she felt the surgery was the right decision.

"I want my surgery to be looked at as positive reflection of how I feel. If it makes you feel better about yourself then DO IT," Girardi wrote on Twitter on July 20.

Gwen Stefani:: An affordable fashion line aimed at kids and tweens

Singer and fashion designer Gwen Stefani is reportedly developing an affordable fashion line aimed at kids and tweens to be sold at Target, Women's Wear Daily reports.

The line, which is dubbed Harajuku Mini, will hit the retailer on November 13 and is set to include the same Japanese-inspired flair as her adult Harajuku Lovers line. Items will be priced between $3.99 and $29.99.

Stefani has several fashion ventures including her upscale L.A.M.B. label which includes clothing and fashion accessories like handbags and a fragrance called "L." Stefani's Harajuku Lovers is a creative extension of her debut solo album "Love.Angel.Music.Baby," and features the Japanese style she used on stage during her tour and in her music videos for the album. The clothing line was developed, in part, to be more accessible to mainstream buyers.

Target sells fragrances from L.A.M.B. and Harajuku Lovers. Spokespeople for Target had no immediate comment on the reports.

The 41-year-old ska and rock singer and her husband Gavin Rossdale, the 45-year-old singer of the rock band Bush, are parents to two boys - Kingston, 4, and Zuma, 2.

Stefani has sometimes brought Kingston to her runway shows. In a previous interview with ELLE magazine, the singer slammed the styles of fellow popular music arists Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Katy Perry.

"I don't see myself in those girls," she said. "I usually put pants on. I see these girls as more going for the sex symbol thing. I was more, in the band, like a tomboy. Of course, I think every girl is sexy, so there's going to be a little of that. But I see a lot of younger artists going more toward the sexy thing."

Stefani made headlines in March when it was announced that she donated $1 million to help with relief efforts in Japan following its recent deadly tsunami and earthquake.

AnnaLynne McCord ::Spotted On The Beach

Actress AnnaLynne McCord and new boyfriend Dominic Purcell (Prison Break) were spotted this week on the beach when Purcell, 41, was visiting McCord, 23, on the set of 90210.

Us Weekly says the actor visited her on the set for a few scenes while she shot for the CW series and then at one point she:

“Jumped into Purcell’s arms, giving him a passionate kiss as he groped her butt.”
How very romantic of him. The source goes on to mention that:

“In between takes she would go on a short walk with him or go to a private corner and make out with him for a bit,” and ”She seemed like she was beaming with excitement that he was visiting her.”

Eva Longoria :: Close of her nightclub

Actress Eva Longoria has lost her Las Vegas nightclub Beso to bankruptcy, and RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned of an unlikely suitor that wants to acquire the financially distraught club.

Ashley Madison, an online dating service that caters mainly to those already in relationships, has reached out to the attorneys handling the Beso account expressing their interest in renaming and rebranding the club “as THE exclusive restaurant and club in Las Vegas for discrete meetings and intimate encounters.”

In the letter sent on July 14, 2011, obtained by RadarOnline.com, Ashley Madison CEO Noel Biderman states that while “there is great potential in the location...a main barrier to Beso’s success was its branding as a singles’ club.”

“We are extremely interested in stepping in to fill this void and with this letter we formally express our interest in exploring a potential acquisition with you that could hopefully take Beso LLC out of Chapter 11 protection,” Biderman writes to Schwartzer & McPherson Law Firm.


“We are saddened to learn of your client Beso LLC and its owner Eva Longoria’s financial difficulties with respect to their hospitality venture and their Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing.”

Longoria, along with other various investors, opened the Las Vegas Beso club in 2009 in which time it fell into nearly $5.7 million in debt by 2011.
